Remove Microsoft Word HTML from Article
Jimmy Brake Sep 20, 2008

We updated our publisher to remove extra hidden codes and some other tags that don't do well on a production website.  Use of the new function is optional so if you don't need it then don't use it.

Here is an example of what the corrupting code can look like.

"<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> Normal   0                         MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 </xml><![endif]--><!--  --><!--[if gte mso 10]> <mce:style><!   /* Style Definitions */  table.M"

Our update will remove any comments and all the incompatible tags that are pasted from Microsoft Word to the editor. If you would like to use this new feature please update your article_create.html from the base template.
